File Sharing
Special Notes
- A meebo account is required to use meebo file sharing.
- A meebo user can send files to anyone. On top of that, a meebo user can receive a file from another meebo user. But currently meebo users cannot receive files from non-meebo users.
- Files sent through meebo file sharing expire after 4 hours from the time files were sent.
- Users are limited to sending files no larger than 10MB at a time.
- Users are limited to sending 30MB worth of files each month.
To send a file
- Double click on the buddy from the buddy list you wish to send a file to
- Click on the file transfer icon
- File Upload window will appear
Double click on the file you wish to transfer - You will see the following within the IM window
- Your buddy (using meebo) will see the following
